They're spending hours revising but it doesn't seem to make a difference?

You're feeling out of your depth.

What is a Revision Reset Challenge?

I am going to show you the really simple steps that you can take to support your teen to improve their revision, motivation, organisation and exam success.

Join me live each day for an action packed 20 minute session (replay available) to discover a practical strategy that you can use immediately, to start seeing real changes in your teen's confidence.

You'll also receive an optional short daily challenge task to encourage you to give these tried and tested strategies a go- with everyone who completes them being put into a prize draw. (And who doesn't love a prize?!)

At the end of our 3 day challenge you'll then join me for my one hour Get Revision 'Right' Workshop, where we'll put everything together from the week and more, to make sure you leave confident that you know precisely how to get your teen revising in the right ways. (Plus a fantastic free gift for joining me across the week!).

By joining me you can make sure there is no more wasted time, no more nagging, no more giving up- instead the confidence that they can do it and that you can support them to achieve the exam success they deserve.

What do parents say?

I've done your 4 success webinars this weekend and found them really helpful- they are very well structured, clear and your confidence has given me some reassurance. I feel much better equipped to help.

A
Year 11 Parent

It was a great week full of fresh and helpful ideas- thank you

B
Year 10 Parent

All three sessions were very informative and also inspiring parents to help their teen's GCSEs. You really gave a detailed explanation of different ways of learning and revision to the parents.

Why is this so important?

I know you're a busy parent, and you might be thinking that your teen seems to be doing ok and that they don't need you to intervene. You might think School has it covered and they'll naturally improve over the next few months.

And they might!

But they might not.

From the outside, it can look like they’re doing the right things:
  • Sitting at a desk.

  • Reading a revision guide.

  • Watching videos.

  • Highlighting notes.

But underneath that, there’s often no real understanding of how learning works, how to remember information, or how to check whether revision has actually stuck.
So time is spent. Energy is used up. But grades stay where they are.
In my experience, this is when parents start to panic. Mock exam results come in and there’s still no improvement, so they turn the pressure up.
This can lead to more arguments, more panic and usually- less success.
The problem is most GCSE students have never actually been taught how to revise properly. If they're lucky they've had a session covering making a revision timetable and flashcards. But they're rarely shown how to revise.
So a few weeks later they’re back to highlighting notes again.
Then the mock results come back.
You panic- you're not sure what to do.
Your teen's confidence drops. They were working hard but it seems pointless.
you hear the dreaded: "There's no point in trying".
Because the problem is, not knowing:
  • what to revise

  • where to start

  • what to do when they get stuck

  • how to tell if something is actually helping

  • how to prioritise what to revise now (vs later)

  • which revision strategies to try when

Doesn't just lead to wasted time, it leads to lack of self belief, a turbulent time at home and setting up for failure at GCSEs and beyond (because they need those same skills for A Levels and University too!)

Who is running the challenge?

Hazel is an Academic Mentor, Teacher and Tutor specialising in supporting parents and teens navigating the GCSEs.

She takes parents from overwhelmed to calm and confident by showing them how to support their teen with revision, in class learning, exam preparation and everything in between- without the conflict.

Hazel uses her 12 years of teaching experience to show parents and teens where they are going wrong and how to fix it- so your teen can spend less time revising AND get better outcomes for ALL of their exam subjects, without anyone reaching breaking point.

She draws on her own experiences achieving top GCSE and A Level grades, as well as a First Class Biology degree, to show students how to learn effectively, stay motivated and become more confident in their abilities.
